I'm very fortunate to have had opportunities to share my work throughout my artistic career. I am quite happy making work for myself, but it's also important for me to get it out into the world. I think the world needs more art, seen or unseen.

My most recent exhibition is on now! Being Scene is an annual juried group show featuring artists with lived experience with mental health. I am honoured to have two sculptures included. If you are in TO and want to check it out, it's running until May 3 at Youngplace. The show is on the 3rd floor and is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 12-5pm. I'll be onsite for an informal artist talk on Saturday, April 27 from 3-5pm.

This detail shot is from Crumpled, a successful test for a process that I have been working on all semester. The glass is initially fused, then remelted and raked to achieve swirls of colour much like how fine paper is marbled. Later it is reheated to be slumped over a hand built mould, and finally I dive into the hot kiln (wearing plenty of protection!) to crumple it manually.

A detail shot of colourful, undulating glass on a plinth.

That's all you get for now-- I hope you can come to Being Scene to see both pieces in full!
